Lifelong learning
We believe that education is the key to the growth and sustainability of the Canadian agriculture industry. This is why we are committed to supporting and promoting agriculture education. Kelburn Farm is flourishing as both a research site and an education centre, helping to advance agriculture now and into the future.
Kelburn Farm has evolved into a prominent education and training centre. It is has become an outdoor classroom for numerous schools and universities and is home to the Manitoba Canola Growers Association’s Canola Learning Centre, which draws thousands of children to the farm each year to gain a better understanding of where their food comes from. Agriculture in the Classroom also hosts its “Amazing Ag Adventure” program at Kelburn each fall. Over 2,500 children visited Kelburn Farm in 2010 to learn more about the importance of agriculture.
