Richardson Pioneer Century Gifts Program

Richardson Pioneer is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2013. First established in 1913, Richardson Pioneer played a pivotal role in shaping the development of agriculture in Western Canada. The company has stood the test of time, supporting our customers through a century of ups and downs, including the Great Depression and two World Wars. The Richardson Pioneer name is well-known in Canadian agriculture and we are proud to celebrate a century of working with Prairie farmers.

We are also very proud of our long history of investing in and supporting the communities in which our customers and employees live and work. Through the Richardson Foundation, we donate over $1 million each year to support local initiatives and organizations in communities across Western Canada.

In celebration of its 100th anniversary in 2013, Richardson Pioneer is pleased to announce the recipients of the Richardson Pioneer Century Gifts Program, a special donations program to commemorate this milestone. The company will contribute a total of $300,000 to support one community project in each of the three Prairie provinces – Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

After receiving a total of 145 proposals from communities across Western Canada, the towns of Falher, Alberta; Whitewood, Saskatchewan; and Minnedosa, Manitoba were selected and will each receive $100,000 towards a community project. Richardson Pioneer will help fund the renovation of the Falher Honey Capital Playground, the expansion and development of new baseball diamonds in Minnedosa and the creation of a town water park in Whitewood, SK in 2014.
