Kelburn Farm is Richardson’s 700-acre research farm and crop development centre located just south of Winnipeg in the Red River Valley. Since 1997, we have worked closely with suppliers using the farm for field trials and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the latest agricultural technologies.

Kelburn Farm began with three main goals:

  1. To further the Canadian agriculture industry through research and development
  2. To educate students of every age about agriculture
  3. To train our employees so they can provide the most up-to-date information and advice to our customers

Lifelong Learning

Kelburn Farm is more than just a research facility. It has evolved into a prominent education and training centre, becoming an interactive outdoor classroom for students of all ages, suppliers, customers and employees.

Kelburn is home to programming like the Manitoba Canola Growers Association’s Canola Learning Centre, which draws children to the farm throughout the summer to better understand where their food comes from. Every fall, Kelburn hosts Agriculture in the Classroom—Manitoba’s “Amazing Ag Adventure” program, which takes elementary school students through work stations that highlight different aspects of agriculture. Through these programs, more than 2,500 children visit the farm every year.

In honour of Kelburn Farm’s 20th Anniversary, we created a short video to thank Kelburn sponsors and celebrate 20 years of partnership.
