His Role: Diego’s role is to examine all our oat products to ensure they always meet quality standard expectations, paying detailed attention to every specification requirement. Diego scrutinizes the product’s overall appearance by reviewing each and every product to ensure there isn’t any cross-contamination or colour variation. Simply put, Diego helps to guarantee our customers receive the highest quality oat product, every time.

Favourite Part of the Job: “My father always told me that the way you measure a person is not by their strength or by how much money they have, rather, by their responsibility. That’s why working in a role like QA holds so much value to me. I take great pride in the responsibility and trust that’s been placed in me. Having a part in ensuring food safety standards are met makes me feel like I have a significant role in creating a safe, nutritional environment for Canadians and consumers around the world. That sense of responsibility is what I value the most about my job.”

Why Diego Recommends a Career in Agriculture: “With all the industries one can choose to build a career from, agriculture is consistently stable because people will always need to eat. Agriculture is constantly evolving and presenting new and exciting challenges to anyone who is ready to take them on.”

Out of Office: Diego and his wife love to get out and discover new restaurants in Winnipeg, enjoy salsa dancing and take part in Latin festivities. Diego has a passion for traveling the world and learning as much about history and cultural diversity as he can.
