#RichardsonIs is a new campaign that we are launching to introduce you to some of the great people who work for our company.

This week, #RichardsonIs…Shane, Marketing Director for Richardson Pioneer.

In the short time that Shane’s been part of the Richardson Pioneer team, his career has grown from a role within the agronomy team to now overseeing the sales and marketing side of our farm services team.

“What keeps me passionate about the industry is how it’s constantly evolving.”

As Director of Marketing, Shane leads the marketing strategy for our Richardson Pioneer division. This includes keeping our Your Richardson Pioneer customer website up to date and identifying how we can continuously improve service to our farm customers- often referred to in the industry as a “go-to-market” strategy. Shane also works closely with our Crop Inputs Marketing team by supporting staff in developing new training initiatives.

“The ability to merge my agronomic background with the marketing side of our business is what I love most about my job. I get to identify opportunities that enhance our farm customers’ business in a number of different ways, such as how they engage and interact with the services that we offer.”

Shane was drawn to a career in agriculture because of the ability to apply science in a practical manner that would have meaningful impact on the success of farmers. “What keeps me passionate about the industry is how it’s constantly evolving and ultimately the diversity in being exposed to science, business, new technologies, new markets, the latest farm equipment, and working with a wide array of exceptional people.”

While Shane’s office is based in Regina, he’s often on the road visiting our regional zones throughout Western Canada. When he’s not at work, Shane likes to stay active, whether it’s reading, traveling or spending time with his friends.
