Who says there’s nothing fun to do in the winter? Last weekend 15 of our Winnipeg employees spent their Saturday outdoors volunteering at the 10th annual West Broadway Snoball Winter Wonderland.

Held at the Broadway Neighbourhood Centre in the heart of the city, the one-day winter festival featured skating, snow sculptures and a snow obstacle course. A warming fire served as a venue for storytelling and drumming while a horse-drawn wagon took people on a tour of the neighbourhood. Our team kept busy helping facilitate the sleigh ride, building snow sculptures with the kids, lacing up ice skates, and overseeing the tobogganing hill, tug of war and obstacle course.

This year, the favourable temperatures helped in attracting a crowd of close to 400 people, breaking attendance numbers from previous years.

Thank you to all the employees, friends and family members that took part and helped make this such a special day in the community!

With storytelling around the fire, broomball on the ice, and even a giant “Frost Bite” piñata – the event was considered a huge success!

The toboggan hill was one of the favourite Snoball stations.
